K2 Meter
The K2 meter is a type of EMF meter. EMF stands for Electro Magnetic Field and is a physical field producted by electrically charged objects. It is thought that paranormal phenomenon sometimes manifest themselves through higher than normal EMF levels and that devices like the K2 meter can detect them. Where the K2 meter differs from a standard EMF detector is that the K2 uses LEDs to represent the intensity of the field. Several ghost hunting groups have claimed to have used the K2 meter to get yes or no answers from paranormal entities. The problem with the K2 meter is the fact that a standard K2 meter has a push-button on/off switch that makes false positives more likely. In order for the K2 meter to be effective, it must be after-market modified to add a toggle (on/off) switch in order to eliminate false positives.
K2 meters are not readily available locally. The best source we've found is on eBay. They typically cost between $45 - $65 depending on whether they have been modified with the toggle switch.
